I am involved in this project because:

The Keep America Beautiful mantra fits in well with why I am involved with this project… ‘individual responsibility for community environments…’  We are providing individuals from Champaign and Vermilion counties the chance to ‘make a difference’ in Kickapoo Park enhancing its natural beauty.  I hope the children that have been chosen have the experience of a lifetime and gain an appreciation of nature and how important it is for all of us to enjoy and survive.

My best experience at Kickapoo so far is:

Cleanup 2008, participating with 140 individuals with the common goal.  Everyone walked away smiling when the job was done.
